This project will focus on artwork only, we won’t be accepting writers for this project.

Submitted illustrations must be SFW.

All pieces must be made for this project, artworks previously posted AREN’T allowed.

Traditional art is accepted as long as it’s scanned properly. As this is a collaborative project and some groups may be a mix of traditional and digital, groups must work together to ensure scans are placed in the final artwork satisfactorily.

You may post WIPs/cropped previews at any time, but please be sure to tag the @magical_meeting account so that we can share it!

Due to the outbreak and current measures being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will be making this a completely digital project.

This project will be our first group project. This means that each month of the calendar will display a collaborative illustration between 4 artists where each artist will draw one magical girl interacting with each other. The artists must also provide a background for their collaborative piece.

We’ll be accepting 52 artists for this project, meaning a group of 4 artists per month and one group for the cover.

Each page from the calendar must feature different magical girls. We won’t be accepting the same magical girl on multiple month pages.

Once the applicants receive their approval email, the characters choices for each month will work on a first come first serve basis.

All magical girls in this project must be wearing a thematic outfit (created by the artists) matching the theme of their month.

Since this is a group project all the applicants must have a Discord account and be active there during the project development. Please see our Group Guidelines below for more information.

Artists can apply as a group (2, 3 or 4 applicants) or as a single applicant for this project.

If you’re applying as a group, you can only be accepted as a group. We won’t accept just a few members of the group and reject the others. A group is a group.

If you’re applying as a single applicant, we'll group you with other single applicants or a group with less than 4 applicants.

Artists will be asked to provide a link to their portfolio in the application. Please make sure you have completed pieces to display that are easily viewable. If using a google drive folder, please make sure the link is made viewable to anyone who has it. If using an instagram, twitter, or Tumblr blog to display your works, please make sure your art is not difficult to find or mixed among personal posts.

Upon completion of the project, everyone will be able to download and print their own Magical Meeting Calendar for free.

Please DON’T post the full piece until 10th January 2021.

Each member of the group must show a WIP for each check-in.

If you need to be less active during a period of time, let your group know ahead of time. Communication is key for this project, and it is crucial you and your group stay in touch with us and each other to ensure that everything is completed in time.

If a group complains about a member’s inactivity, the member will receive an email about it and will have 48 hours to reply. If the member doesn't reply within 48 hours, they will be replaced by a pinch hitter.

Please use your group channel inside the project server as your main chat, so we can keep on date with the project.

We have a list of theme suggestions for each month, but if the group wants, they can use another theme (as long as it makes sense with the month and is not the same as another month).

Our current themes for each month are: New’s Year (January), Valentine’s Day (February), International Women’s Day (March), Easter (April), Spring (May), June Brides (June), Summer Beach (July), Summer Festival (August), Fall (September), Halloween (October), Winter (November) and Christmas (December).

Be nice and considerate with your teammates while working together!! Criticism may be necessary, but please keep it constructive.
